EMMANUEL ROAD

Renovation, Styling & Staging

Emmanuel Road

This 3 bedroomed Victorian terrace house was a former rental property that had been neglected for some years, before being bought as a complete house & garden renovation project.

Working to a tight budget, I initially concentrated on scheduling the larger works including; moving internal walls, reconfiguring the bathroom and arranging replacement double glazing throughout – which was more energy efficient and in keeping with the period of the house.  Before any of this could be done, I enlisted a garden landscaper who helped re-terrace and structure the garden, which was overgrown and filled with waste material which needed to be brought through the house as there was no rear access.

Whilst the larger work was being completed,  I sourced all materials, furniture and accessories to create the homely and cosy interior, which focused around accentuating and reinstating key period features where possible and increasing light flow within the house.  Paint schemes were kept warm and neutral, except for the dramatic dining room in deep navy and the study in a very dark charcoal grey which beautifully framed the garden view beyond.

Natural materials and up-cycled furniture were used wherever possible and plant displays took centre stage throughout the rooms, giving it a warm and inviting atmosphere, ready for the owner to Airbnb.
