The Concept
I launched Design Storeys in 2020, after completing several of my own renovation projects and many years hosting Airbnb guests – who regularly praised my eye for interiors and encouraged me to share my passion and experience.
My initial interiors project came about in my early 20s, when I was fortunate enough to buy my first home. On a tight budget, I quickly developed a knack for up-cycling and sourcing beautiful, yet affordable pieces; whilst decorating with natural textures and materials, all styled with plenty of plants.
From that first house I was hooked and have been renovating and styling properties for myself and friends ever since. My natural and organic style has also been influenced over the years by my PR career – working for a diverse range of ethical & sustainable eco brands; from interiors, fashion, wellness and travel.
Having moved from London to Hastings in 2017 – I completed an interior styling course, whilst renovating my biggest project to date. This helped me hone my interior design skills and develop my interest in sustainable interiors, incorporating biophilic design principles and low VOC’s materials

INTERIOR RE-DESIGN
An attentive, professional job with a real eye for designing a space and the items in it. Detailed mood boards and information is provided throughout the process and presented in a concise and comprehensive way at the end. It is particularly useful to also have the floorplans, suggestions for paint colours and websites/stockists for the items included in the final ideas.

STYLING
Liz’s home is so beautifully stylish, I felt like a spent most of my time picking up tips for my own home! Liz left great recommendations for cosy pubs and places to eat, but, her home is so beautiful that we opted to stay in one night with a takeaway, bottle of wine and a board game.
COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DESIGN
I had no idea where to start in terms of designing the interior of my new bistro, but fortunately for me, I was introduced to Design Storeys who helped bring my vision to life. Liz was very thorough in working through the concept, before developing a look and feel that complimented our vision. She was also keen to add a sense of calm and well being to the place - with the addition of as many natural materials and plants as possible. We've had so many positive comments from passers who've watched the renovation in progress and love the finished result. Thank you!
